2(4.25 ounce) tins Season Skinless & Boneless Sardines in Olive Oil, reserve 2 tablespoons of oil
1tablespoonDijon mustard
2tablespoonsmayonnaise
¼cupminced celery
¼cupchopped fresh parsley
2tablespoonschopped fresh dill
crushed pepper flakes,Optional: To sprinkle on top.
Instructions
In a medium bowl, add 2 tablespoons minced onion, juice and zest from 1 lemon, 2 tablespoons olive oil from sardines, 1 tablespoon mustard, and 2 tablespoons mayonnaise. Mix until combined.
Fold in ¼ cup minced celery and sardines breaking up the sardines. Fold in ¼ cup chopped parsley and 2 tablespoons chopped dill. Top with pepper flakes, optional.
Serve on bread or toast for a sandwich. Can also be served on crackers or atop a fresh salad.
