The DiLoretos founded Fading D a few years back after a trip to Italy. They couldn’t find the traditional fresh buffala mozzarella cheese they’d discovered in Italy at home. So they decided to make their own. To do that, first they’d need some water buffaloes. And if they were going that far, why not start a farm? Now, David and Faythe DiLoreto are raising a whole herd of water buffalo. The farm produces milk, meat, traditional Italian buffala mozzarella cheese and — most amazingly — gelato.
