Dietitians and brand partners unite for an evening of nutrition-focused trivia, good food, and community impact at FNCE 2025.

More than 100 dietitians and nutrition professionals gathered for an evening of food, fun, and philanthropy during the annual “Fuel Good, Do Good” Trivia Night, hosted by Healthy Family Project on Sunday, October 12, during the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo™ (FNCE®).

The event, emceed by well-known sports dietitian Tony Castillo, featured trivia questions centered around health-conscious brand partners and highlighted the impact that nutritious foods can have on communities. Attendees enjoyed a chef-designed custom menu showcasing each partner’s products, from refreshing watermelon-inspired bites to sweetpotato forward appetizers, while competing for prizes throughout the evening.

Event partners included: Bard Valley Natural Delights®, ENVY Apple™, National Honey Board, National Watermelon Board, North Carolina Sweetpotato Commission, Northwest Cherries, Shuman Farms RealSweet® Onions, USA Pears, and ¡Yo Quiero! Brands.

“This is our third year hosting this event, and the crowd loves testing their skills around questions featuring our health-conscious brand partners,” said Amanda Keefer, Senior Director of Marketing & Communications at Healthy Family Project. “Our dietitian network continues to grow, and we’re proud to support this passionate community of professionals who are helping families eat well and live better.”

Healthy Family Project dietitian Julie Lopez welcomed guests and shared details about the upcoming 2026 Mission for Nutrition kits, a nationwide program that sends much-needed educational and promotional resources to dietitians and nutrition professionals each year.

Representatives from each partner brand took the mic to introduce their products and share how they help families make healthier choices. During the evening, the Foundation for Fresh Produce recognized Healthy Family Project and its partners for their $15,000 donation, raised through the 2025 Mission for Nutrition campaign and the event itself.

“Connecting our partners with dietitians is important to our mission,” added Tracy Shaw, Partnership Manager at Healthy Family Project. “Events like this create meaningful opportunities for collaboration, education, and inspiration that ultimately help more families make nutritious choices.”

The night wrapped up with the raffle of a grand prize FNCE 2026 registration, awarded to dietitian Courtney Ferreira.
