Second Annual Fruit & Veggie Trivia Unites Dietitians for an Evening of Fun, Learning, & Giving Back

Healthy Family Project, an advocate for healthy eating and family wellness, welcomed more than100 dietitians to its second annual Fruit & Veggie Trivia Night during the Food Nutrition Conference and Expo (FNCE®) in Minneapolis on Sunday evening. This year’s highly anticipated event brought together top nutrition professionals and leading produce brands for an evening of lively networking, trivia, and impactful charitable giving while celebrating the power of fruits and vegetables.

Healthy Family Project’s in-house dietitian, Julie Lopez, RD, was in attendance, sharing her expertise and further strengthening the connection between the produce industry and nutrition professionals. Her presence underscored Healthy Family Project’s ongoing dedication to supporting dietitians in their crucial role of promoting healthy lifestyles.

“We’re beyond excited to bring this event back for the remarkable dietitians who tirelessly create a ripple of positive change in their communities,” said Amanda Keefer, senior director of marketing and communications at Healthy Family Project. “At Healthy Family Project, we are deeply committed to ensuring that this influential group not only remains connected with the produce industry but is also given a powerful voice at the decision-making tables—where choices about how food is marketed and how essential information is communicated are shaped.”

This year’s event is proudly supported by an outstanding lineup of partners, including Bard Valley Natural Delights, Envy Apples, Idaho Potato Commission, National Watermelon Promotion Board, North Carolina Sweetpotatoes, Shuman Farms, USA Pears, and ¡Yo Quiero!.

Each partner had the chance to shine, weaving their products and brand stories into the event’s vibrant culinary experience. Adding to the fun, trivia questions inspired by the partners tested attendees’ knowledge, sparking friendly competition, fostering connections, and rewarding participants with exciting prizes.

Dietitians in attendance embraced the Fruits & Veggies & Giving Back message that has become a popular theme for Healthy Family Project’s mission at food and nutrition events.

Event produce partners are making a donation of over $13,000 to the Foundation for Fresh Produce to increase accessibility to fruits and vegetables in schools. Through collaboration, education, and a strong commitment to philanthropy, Healthy Family Project reaffirms its dedication to promoting nutritious choices and overall wellness within families and communities.
