Jalapeno Turkey Burger
A blend of flavors that will get your taste buds tingling. These burgers are juicy and mouth-watering, made with extra lean ground turkey, smoked paprika, chili powder, and jalapeño peppers.
Ingredients
- 1 pound extra lean ground turkey
- 1 egg, whisked
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 Jalapeno pepper, finely chopped and seeds removed for less heat
- ⅓ cup red onion, grated and drained of excess water
- sea salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1¼ cups coleslaw mix
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Lime Juice
- 8 whole wheat buns, toasted
Instructions
- In a large bowl, add 1 pound ground turkey, 1 whisked egg, 1 tablespoon smoked paprika, 2 teaspoons chili powder, 1 finely chopped jalapeño, and ⅓ cup grated red onion. Mix well and season with salt and pepper. Form the mixture into even patties.
- Preheat grill to medium heat.
- Add the patties to the grill and cook 6 to 7 minutes per side or until cooked through.
- In a bowl, add 1¼ cups coleslaw, ⅓ cup mayonnaise, and 2 tablespoons lime juice. Combine well.
- Divide the burgers onto buns and top with coleslaw mixture.
